27 - Join us for another drink and another happy hour discussing our February book pick The Vegetarian by Han Kang. We begin our chat this week by adding a new liquor to our palate - we incorporate Soju, a South Korean rice liquor into this week's cocktail, a twist on a Bloody Mary: Bloody Lady. Using Yeong-Hye's dreams as a jumping off point, we take a deep dive into our own dreams, the cultural traditions we might be ridiculed for parting ways with, and of course, our own relationships and struggles with the foods we choose to eat.

26 - It's #ThirstyThursday, which means it's time for another happy hour with your book club besties! This week we finish The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid while enjoying the radiant and glowing Right To Die. We kick off the episode with a very socially aware listener question from one of our favorite listeners (and incredible artist) Adela Antoinette. We chat about whether all of the gossip and discussion about Evelyn's many husbands eclipses her own fame, gush over the final years she shares with the real love of her life, and we get incredibly vulnerable in talking about death, assisted suicide, and the right to die. AND we dish on who our 7 husbands would be...and each of our picks for our *one* wife. Next week we start our new February book club pick The Vegetarian by Han Kang!

25 - Time for another happy hour! This week we launch into the third part of our chat about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid while drinking an oldie but a goodie: The Last Word. We talk about *that* explicit sex scene, and as actresses we can't help wondering whether we'd have done the same and where our line is with regards to nudity in our work. And since Evelyn does that scene with her abusive ex-husband, we dive into the complex question of whether it's possible to enjoy art made by abusers and alleged abusers. Plus, in talking about Monique's difficult decision whether to stay in New York for her career, or follow David to San Francisco, we talk about the difficult decisions we're personally facing with regards to our careers and marriages...
